Welcome

So this is the new blog. For those not new to my ramblings you know that this is not my first attempt at a blog. Indeed, this is my second foray in to the world of internet banal. Yet, I feel a need to weigh in on some of the seemingly futile conversations going around these days. I like to read and I try to read widely. In a month I might visit the ideas of Steven Pinker and Noam Chomsky to Dallas Willard and Wendell Berry. So...I get confused. And I have our little town in the bush of South Sudan to ponder the world's ideas and try to make since of life.

In the conversation, I often feel like the odd ball and the outsider (I like it). We live with the Dinka people of Warrap, in a house also occupied by my dear friend Selvin, originally from south India, and his family. I have a supper cool wife and a little boy called Shepherd. My station in life has given me a unique perspective, of which, I see as of some small value to you and me as we try to make sense out of a senseless world inhabited by angry, albeit, potently beautiful people...everyone of us.
